I’d like to think that I’m a storyteller. A lover. A connector. My desire to spread knowledge dates back almost as far as my love for reading. I remember 3rd grade Misha would voluntarily write books about managing emotions to read to the kindergarten classes. I just wanted to tell people about the things I’d learned! Who would’ve thought that same desire would be the foundation for my professional journey? My writing transformed from short stories to detailed journal entries before evolving into authentic poetry. Here we are 3 books and a couple scholarly chapters published later still in awe at the places my dreams have taken me.
Consistent existence at the intersection of scholar-activist and hot girl (as referenced in I need a hot girl by the Hot Boyz) has been quite a journey. My unique ability to navigate both the projects and DEI projects inherently informs the interdisciplinary approach I take to my work. I like to say that I’ll freely give away the recipe, but not everyone has the magic like Meesh!
As a Certified Sexuality Professional, I specialize in facilitating experiences to promote courageous conversations that catalyze change. I help learners actively pursue liberation and advance social justice by exploring identity and increasing self-awareness. My approach to education encourages authenticity through poetry, storytelling, and critical discourse.
I deeply believe that white supremacy is the root of all evil and work diligently to dismantle systems of oppression.
